I have a tattoo of a mammoth, so Mastodon seemed right? Nebula-Award-winning author of stories, mediocre social media observations, and books, including BLACKFISH CITY, THE ART OF STARVING, BOYS, BEASTS & MEN and KID WOLF & KRAKEN BOY. Exhausted activist. Queer Jew. Obsessive gamer fully stuck in 1991. He/him.

@owenblacker@dataare.cool amazing! But I gotta ask my main question from that movie, that sparked the writing of this story: do you think the Things know that they are Things? Are they a monster intentionally hiding, mimicking a person while trying to manipulate scenarios to its own advantage, or is the mimicry so complete that they believe themselves to still be themselves?
