I live at the very top of a tall hill and our house currently has some scaffolding on to fix a roof problem. After the workers had all gone home I jumped on a wall, and got on to their scaffolding and went right up to roof. The view from there was beautiful.

lgtvremote-cli v1.1.1 is out - control your LG TV from the command line.

New in this release:
- lgtv power-status - check if your TV is on/off (great for scripts and automations)

- lgtv livetv - switch to live TV with optional --channel flag

- lgtv channels - list available channels as JSON

- --tv flag now accepts TV names, not just IPs (lgtv --tv "Living Room" off)

You can now switch HDMI inputs by name - “lgtv input ps5” instead of remembering which HDMI port is which. Labels are cached from the TV automatically with no extra setup needed. Custom aliases supported too.

Finished Resident Evil: Requiem. Thoroughly enjoyed it, and just in time for Crimson Desert.

I built an open source command line tool for controlling LG webOS TVs.

Scan your network, pair with a PIN, and then you can control power, volume, apps, inputs, and more from the terminal.

Designed it to work well with AI assistants so they can control your TV through natural language. Also handy for scripting and home automation.

If you want a proper remote app instead, Smart Remote+ is on iOS and Android.

I’ve loved the look of OpenClaw but have been somewhat apprehensive to install it. I just wanted some basic Apple service MCPs, so I’ve made some.

Found a Steam Controller at CEX. Never seen one in real life before. Feels like something AI dreamt up.

Loving Resident Evil 9. I own all of them but have only finished around half. Sometimes they don’t grab my attention and fall off, but 8 did a great job, and 9 is too.

If you ask any AI for the same thing twice you’re likely to get a slightly different result.

This is proved really beneficial in making the android version of my Smart Remote+ app.

I had a fully feature featured and complete iOS version when I decided to use AI to build an Android equivalent, referencing the structure and functionality of the iOS version as a base.

Within an hour, I had a version for Android phones that had parity - minus a wearable version - with the iOS version, and in a couple of places improved. TV enrichment, such as pulling the name when scanning for a TV, was considerably faster on Android. It had done something slightly different, but better. I was able to feed that improvement back to the iOS version to improve it there too.
