The way my characters meet up in my current romance WIP is interesting but has major spoilers.

I'm working on a prequel for some of my fantasy characters that shows their meeting. Narya, an orc, was sent to kill Dahlia, a gorgon with a gaze that petrifies. Long story short, they become steadfast lovers. To avoid accidents, Dahlia prefers to go blindfolded when hanging out with her beloved.

#EroticMusings Week 33 Is creating erotica an erotic act in itself? What part, if any, does your own arousal play in creating or evaluating your work?

For a long time, I tried to repress my kink (and failed miserably) So I ended up stockpiling a slew of horny fantasies in my head. Writing them out now is both liberating and cathartic.

I rarely get off reading my own stuff, but writing it out usually gets me awfully hot. I evaluate my writing based on whether it gets other hypnokinksters off.

If anyone has any practical experience with birth hypnosis (clinical, non-erotic) and is open to talk to me about it, please let me know!

I am curious for a (non-erotic) scene I'm writing.

#EroticMusings 29 Why are most relationship stories about beginnings? Does your erotica ever explore endings?

The story I'm about to publish begins at the end of a relationship.

One of the MC's, Farron, is at the end of a marriage that's run its course. After he explores his kinkier side with a non-binary partner, his wife leaves him, which opens up the path to new beginnings.

So maybe that's my answer? That our endings are beginnings?

I dunno.

#EroticMusings 25: Does your erotica explore themes of chronic or terminal health?

My curret #WIP has several characters in episodes of depression and dealing with other mental health issues. And there's a lot of scenes that deal with people's psychological health, but nothing terminal or physical.

My regular smut shorts do not, mind you its fantasy, not realism, and a good few of my characters would be diagnosed as psychopathic by anyone's standards.

#EroticMusings Week 23 Does your (or loved ones') physical/mental health affect your work? Does your work help?

I have not been diagnosed with any health issues, but that hasn't stopped a lot of people from giving me their unwanted opinion on the matter. I have bouts of social anxiety which might be caused by a form of neurodivergency. Writing is how I deal with it and find my self expression.

I also suffer from occasional migraines. If that's the case, there is no writing being done at all.

#EorticMusings 21 Setting: Most fun with a creepy, spooky, or spoopy scene/setting?

I'm working on a short piece about mind-controlling jack o'lanterns that cover people's heads and use them like puppets. It's a fun one to write so far.

Side note: I feel the whole #hypnokink community is feeling the mind controlling pumpkin trend this season. We were inspired by a particular model's photoshoot and now I'm seeing a lot of content with that theme.

My kink revolves around the idea of power play, so fear, in some degree, is crucial. There needs to be an element of danger to balance the lure of seduction. How much fear is a matter of personal taste.

When I was growing up, I reacted to my kink (hypnosis) with fear that gradually changed into arousal, so now the two are very tightly connected in my mind.
